She did 8 in the end,, where they all came from i dont know as she is pretty small.

Any one got any ideas if the pink oval on the pic above this one is a good or bad thing ??

The color of this female is interesting, if the picture color is dependable, some times it doesn't come out with a picture that is actually true to life. This female has a light blue tint to herself? What species is she? Eastern Collard? She did a great job and you did a great job in capturing this feat! Cheers!!!

I think this next pic probably shows her better,
This one was without the UV on and was a few weeks ago. It's not great focus wise but shows her quite different colour wise.

I think she was probably darker than normal in the laying pics as she was in the laying box, which normally has a lid so is pretty dark, for a day or two.

Generally she is probably a beige/blue/green colour, she varies so much..

It is the embryonic disc in the egg. It means they are fertile eggs...you should position them so that pink area stays to the top of the egg, just as it is.

Thanks for the reply John,

What i have done is remove the eggs as they laid in the laying box and placed them down exactly how they were.

If one of the eggs does not have the pink oval on the top barring in mind we are coming up for 48 hrs,, should i turn the egg over or leave it how it is ??

thanks

Usually the eggs will all have a noticeable pink spot on the surface, but sometime it may not be visible, or some eggs may not be fertile. I would treat them all the same, until they are finished incubating. I have had some pretty ugly eggs still hatch, and I nearly tossed them.
