grey treefrog always um... grey

chamsrcool Jul 02, 2003 11:04 AM

My greys tree frog is always grey...he has a small lime green blob under each eye but the rest of him is never green.

He usually hides in a creeping ficus i have but there are two big pothos growing through out his cage. his cage is a 38 gallon reptaium that i have setup out side for my anoles....which are happy and never notice the frog.

he eats and soaks...is the cagenot green enough for him still?

You are under the false impression that they will change color according to their surroundings. What you have is normal, and don't expect anything else out of it. The anoles are NOT in the same tank, correct?

I've found GTF froglets commonly display a lime green coloration; my adults vary from camo-gray to sepia brown. The only real color change observed is a lightening or darkening of tint (white areas can take on a mint-green hue).
