i have a problem- my ghost corn snake has an ailment that vets (not herpetologists, i'm in Boise...) say is metabolic bone disease, but i doubt they're positive.
basically, his body (he's about one year, but is small compared to my other corn the same age) is collapsing around his spine and it's moving up his body, now the affected area reaches halfway up the snake. my options are looking grim- either euthanize the snake under assuption that it's in constant pain (and the other obvious reasons) or keep trying to load my pinks with calcium that vet supplied (again, i don't trust the vets knowledge...)
is this case best summed up by freezing the guy or is that the easy way out?? what do you think??? i need feedback- thanks!!!
