Iguanas are very territorial, and they grow so much faster than water dragons, your dragon would end up dying pretty quickly, either from the iguana or from the stress of being housed with an iguana.

dont do it. its not worth the risk, even though they are cheap. they're still living beings. dont force them to be with each other. the ig WILL grow faster and will stress out your WD which is easily done. just best not to do it.
i house my young green iguana and green basilisk together...but not suggesting people house adual iguana with others.
P.S: they will not fight when they are young
There is a pet store in Burbank that has a wonderful display with Iggies, Basilisks, and Water Dragons in it the store keeper told me that so long as they have enough room there is no fighting.
Think for a second,Green iguana's live in South America in the canopy of the rain forest.Bassies live in South America too,but in the swamps.Water Dragons come from Asia and Australia in the swamps. The iguana will grow much more rapidly then the water dragon. So I would wait to get the water dragon or build a cage for your iguana that would be big enough for when he is an adult.I have a bassie(1.3 feet) an a Iguana(4 feet).Water dragons grow three feet or so,right. And a iguana grows to 6 feet if its a male. And how are you going to make the iguana not eat the waterdragons insects(iguanas should not have to much protein).Thats 3 reasons why I would not house them together size, enviroment and diet
Hope this helps Kev
