The anaconda I got for Jason has died. But we are hoping to make the best and learn something from it. We did a necropsy with the vet and after all the sings we had hoped for a male..we found no testes and what seemed to be ovaries. The spur was small but the snake was as well, it was not fully recessed and it seemed to have quite a curve to it and was light in coloration. When examining the dead snake I though it had an appendage but that may have looked like that because I was pushing it out to look at structure. Anyway, jason heard it make a noise and saw it wheezing a few times and start flipping around. He called me and I picked him up to go to the vet and the snake seemd to have very little life left in it. They put it in with some oxygen and gave it a shot but after a few hours there was no saving it I guess. From this please feel free to post opinions on what you think cause of death and anything else. The vet felt it was an RI that caused the death. The blisters were also forming not long ago and getting bad. Jason had been keeping the tank extremely dry too and was giving iodine baths.
