My list of "Breeding Season Problems"

greenguy Dec 09, 2004 05:12 PM

Since breeding season , I've run into a few problems. I'm not sure if it's just my Ig's or if you have similar concerns. Please, feel free to add your troubles too... Who knows how much we can chalk up to hormones!

1. Pooping in the wrong place. My Ig's always poop at a certain time and place. Now, who knows when or where.
2. Diminished appetite. Their appetite has dropped about 2/3's since breeding season.
3. They fly around like mad men whenever I try to get them out of the cage or bathtub.
4. Pacing in their cage and outside of their cage.
5. Waxy substance on their basking logs. I'm 99% sure what it is (since I have 2 males) but I don't want to say.

Yeah, I know exactly what you're talking about with #5.... Lol.. During breeding season with my iggy, he goes after people wearing jeans, and any stuffed animals lying around. And the funniest part is the mirror on the dresser, he loves to "make love to" the mirror during breeding season.
