I have a striped cal. king, and I handle her almost everyday, except when she has eaten. Whenever I put my hand in the cage she gets spooked for a minute, tastes my hand, and calms down. She lets me take her out of her cage with no problem. I can handle her with no problem, she is not head shy or easily spooked when I am handeling her...but for my girlfriend it is a little bit of a different story. The last time my g/f handled her she got bitten...for the third time! I was just wondering if the snake is used to my smell and if that was the reason she doesn't bite me, or could it be just dumb luck?
