If a day gecko already has eggs developing inside her and the male mates with her after this has already started will the eggs come out fertile? Or does he have to mate with her before the eggs develope?

I haven't worked with day geckos but my experience as shown me that after mating it is usually a few clutches later till you may see fertle eggs. Could be less but I don't believe the eggs currently developed in her will be fertle. Unless of course she's already been breeded. I only know whats happened to me!

They must breed before fertile eggs will develop. For large species it usually takes about 8 weeks or so before fertile eggs are laid after mating. The female does occassionally lay infertile eggs, which I've found are usually eaten.
