ok here it goes..
what do u guys think is the best type of tegu for a beginner? how much does that type of tegu cost? is there a smaller type of tegu that would be a better pet? do they need uv light? what do they eat and how much do they eat AND when should i feed it? are they easy to breed? are they active or couch potatoes? diurnal or nocturnal? were should i get one from? how big of a cage? are they better than monitors? whats thier personalities like? are they social or loners? are these for expireanced (sp) or novice tegu keepers like me? i've kept leopard geckos, i have a milksnake, and i have a python, so i know how touchy they can be but how do tegus handle stress?
thanks

I would start by reading through this forum. here are some sites for lots of info. Read up on them and then I am sure folks here would be happy to answer some more specific questions.
BTW, my favorites are Blues and Reds
