Supplementation / gutloading advice?

Melisondra Dec 09, 2004 10:12 PM

I looking to buy a new supplement for my chams (adult veiled and panther) but im unsure what to buy exactly. Ive heard alot of names thrown around but not sure exactly what I should buy. I know there are some supplements for calcium specifically, some for vitamins. Does anyone have any advice on which brand(s) I should look into, and what exactly I need to supplement for since I gutload my crickets with calcium and such?

Also, I was curious as to gutloading the crickets. I gutload now with a bought cricket feed w/ calcium and a homemade wader dish. What I was wondering, is if I started doing my own food, could I mix it up (grains, greens etc...) and then freeze it or keep it in the fridge for any length of time before using it? Or does it go bad fast? Does anyone have any certain methods they follow?

Thanks all!

Erin

Hey Erin,
The best gutload (IMO) is www.adcham.com/html/husbandry/gutload.html

As for supplements... I like Miner-All www.miner-all.net/index.html ,Rep-cal www.repcal.com/supp.htm#Original%20Calcium and Absolute Calcium www.absolutecalcium.com/
