I wa.s wondering why my turtle won't get out of the water to bask. it is not a matter of being able to because he has gotten well out of the water once befor. i finaly got him to eat now i just need to get him out of the water.

I wa.s wondering why my turtle won't get out of the water to bask. it is not a matter of being able to because he has gotten well out of the water once befor. i finaly got him to eat now i just need to get him out of the water.
Is it possible that his water is warmer or about the same temp as the basking area? The water needs to be quite a bit cooler than the basking and then you will find your turtle coming out to bask. Basking is essential to give the skin and shell "dry time".
