One egg unhatched

amhope Jul 02, 2003 12:03 PM

Hey guys! I normally just stay in the background and keep up with everything that way but I do have one question if someone can answer it. I did try searching this forum but I'm doing something wrong because the search results are completely irrelevant to what I'm needing...Ok, this is my first time breeding. The temps for the eggs have stayed roughly between 82 and 84 and humidity right at 90. All eggs but one hatched between day 75 and day 78. I am now on day 86 with this last egg. It still looks good and for the past week and a half I can see the dark spot on the location where his head is, yet no progress. When candled I see no movement. How much longer can it take a clutchmate to hatch after the others? I'm just worried that maybe it is not doing well after all. I know not to cut it open but did not know if it was normal. Is he probably OK? Thanks guys,
Amity Mower

Sometimes there is one or two that takes a lot longer. Do not give up just yet. However, it may be that it wil never hatch.
