I suppose I am not ready for boas yet. I'm a college student. I do have herp knowledge and a fair idea of keeping herps. I guess I do not have the right place for such critters. I have a quite a few colubrids and that is what I know more of. I'd like to get into smaller boas though. Those nics are so variable in color. They are awesome snakes too. I might obtain another after I graduate and am acclimated.
Would they work in a rack system? I have my colubrids in a rack system. I was keeping my Nic in a 10 gallon. It had gravel in the bottom with moss overlaying the gravel. I also had a turtle shell that I found in the wild. I had it soaked in bleach for a week, washed thoroughly and frozen to kill all parasites. I put some climbing limbs in there and a heated area. The light was timed to 12 hour cycles. I needed a thermometer. Sure makes it easier to determine temp fluxes.
I think Nics should be observed. They are beautiful snakes.
