Sexing a snake?

Being as its winter time and I dont want to take my ball out of the house, and I am not even sure who around Kansas City can sex a snake, is it possible to have a pretty good idea if a snake is male or female by looking at the shape of its tail? I got my ball back in August, Im guessing its about 6 months old now. I had always heard that females in general had longer, more gradually ending tails vs males who have a shorter, stubbier tail? Maybe I can post a picture or something

Take your snake to Miles of Exotics in KC MO, address 345 NW Barry Road. They specialize in reptiles and can tell if you have a male or a female!
