THE STAR (Petaling Jaya, Malaysia) 10 December 04 No sign of boy’s remains in two crocs
Kuching: A bomoh have caught two crocodiles but neither of them showed signs that they had eaten a 15-year-old boy on Nov 13.
The crocodiles, 5m and 3m long, were caught after taking the bait placed on big hooks in Sungai Peti, Sri Aman Division on Wednesday afternoon.
They were later brought to the longhouse where the boy came from.
No human remains was found after their stomachs were cut opened. Hundreds of villagers watched the event.
Villagers have insisted that the bigger crocodile was the man-eater which dragged the unidentified boy into the water while he was catching fish with two other friends on Nov 13.
The boy’s family and relatives sought the help of the 70-year-old bomoh and his four assistants.
The services of the bomoh from Lundu had been sought on numerous occasions to catch man-eating crocodiles in Batang Lupur since 1998.
