Do Geckos Have a Cerebral Cortex?

ninjabat Dec 10, 2004 11:56 AM

I recently discovered that snakes do not have the part of the brain known as the cerebral cortex. This makes them incapable of higher thought processes (like the concept of friendship). I was wondering if Leopard Geckos might have this, or are they limited in the same way as snakes?

though it's not something we covered in my psych classes, I'd be willing to bet it's missing in most if not all herps.
