Who wants to see Tobias? =D

shopunke Dec 10, 2004 12:01 PM

He's doing pretty good! He's not photogenic at ALL though, I always have to pick him up and sort of pose him... the little stinker.

He's doing real good on the can o' crickets. He's keeping hydrated, too! But live crickets just don't appeal to him at all anymore, I think I may be hand-feeding this guy forever! Yikes!

Here's my little bubby.

I don't remember if you've said... but have you tried anything besides crickets? I know my lizards seem to have preferences.

Amon likes crickets, roaches, and butterworms

Amaunette likes crickets and silkworms, but will only eat roaches or butterworms if she's really hungry

Yeah, he seems to really like mealies. The one time I tried giving him waxworms, her threw up. I guess I could always try those again now, since he is getting better.

Hey, question. If I wanted him to eat some crickets on his own... how many days do you think I should go without hand feeding him? I've let him go three days before and he still didn't eat on his own.

I wouldn't go more than two or three.

have you tried giving him maybe one or two canned crickets and then throwing a couple in the cage? maybe he needs his appetite stimulated? just a thought

He looks tierd in the eyes, but his weight looks much better. Pretty guy !

I would say get him interested in anything alive right now, just to give him a PUSH start maybe for crickets later.

They have these things now called mini mealworms, tiny but super squirmy, even the most finicky eaters seem to go for them.
They also seem easier to eat than reg mealies.

Like i say they are little guys, but alot of my buddies on hte dragon forum are using them for finicky eaters or bay dragons and dragons who just wont eat. And they do eat these tiny squirmers.

May spark an interest in LIVE stuff again. Look into them when ya have a some spare bucks.

He's beautiful! I can't wait until Houston gets some meat on his bones.
