Can anyone tell me what kinda leo I have?

chibicricket Dec 10, 2004 07:49 PM

Ok, I have a 2 month old baby gecko that I bought from a herp dealer who gets his animals from other dealers and he's not sure what kind of leo I have. He's bright yellow on his body with black outlined brown blobs. Then he's got orange arms with black spots. His tail is white and grey striped. And his head is all brown except for a white line from his mouth and around his head. And just now as I'm typing this, he pooped on my computer desk.... Nice....

Very similar to this pic that I found at http://www.leopard-gecko.net/morphs/index.html, except his head is all brown with a white stripe and black spots.

I will be posting a pic of Kako as soon as my bf gets home from work so I can use his camera phone. The other thing I have been noticing is that the yellow on his back is gradually turning pastel to almost white, while his legs are getting oranger. Another thing, I was wondering is how fast do they grow to full size? He eats quite a bit, and it's been a month since I got him and he's grown quite fast already. I only have experience with iguanas, amphibians, and snakes, so I'm pretty new to geckos.

Depends on how much they eat and how well they are kept. Usually they will be full grown at the age of about 10 months more or less. It also depends on how big they usually get. I have a little tremper thats about two years old and still weighs 50g and then I have a male that again is two years old but weighs 110g. They both eat very well but for some reason they are different sizes but full grown. If yours is already eating and growing very well I would say she'll probably grow to be pretty big.
