Retained Eye shed possible

PatrickR Dec 10, 2004 10:14 PM

OK, allow me to sound like a total newbie here but... I have just obtained a neonate that I think has a retained eye cap and definately had some retained shed on top of his head that I took care of already but I think he still has more... the retained eye cap is kind of a missing link since I belive he has one but my roommate doesn't...Me thinks the only way to find out for sure is to try an remove it? Any suggestions.. I have been using the tube emthod with moistened Q-tips to gently roll off the remaining skin on the head.. now I guess ill go back doing the same thing over the eye...Its just kinda hard to see since his eyes are so small and the retained cap if there is pretty clear if not JUST VERY SLIGHTY cloudy

Sorry for the rant...
ANy help or ideas...

OK so the picture thing failed... however last night I broke out the tubes, some q tips and water and had a little heart to heart with my little friend.... Apparently when he was sold to me he hadn't shed a single scale off his head so he had his whole top of his head and 2!!! Retained eye caps...I only suspected one but decided to rub the otherone "just to make sure" lucky enough for me I spoted the 2nd eye cap coming off.. I didnt even expect it to be there...

YEAH!!!!!
