temps...

I think i am real close to having my temps perfect, i built a platfrom out of 2x4's and put it right under the heat lamp, this will give my little girl something to climb onto for exercise and a great basking spot. I countersunk the screws so she wouldn't get caught on them, do i need to worry about them getting hot and burning her??

Just remember to measure the temp. of the surface. Also, you don't want to get the bulb too close. How close is the bulb now to the platform?

the bulbs are regular bulbs that u would put in a lamp in your house, they are about 8 inches or so away from the platform.

Get 45 watt halogen bulbs. Don't get the ones with the clear center.
