Good Herp Vet In Toronto?

razordance Dec 11, 2004 12:36 AM

My g/f and I are being faced with an extremely sudden move to Toronto, and I was wondering if anyone can recommend a good herp vet in the city? We'd prefer to deal with one vet for all of our pets, which currently include cats, birds, mice, frogs, a ball python and a green iguana. We also intend to get more heavily into reptiles, and are considering breeding at some point in the future. I spoke to someone at Links Road Animal Clinic, and it sounds as though they can handle our menagerie, but I wanted to see if there were other opinions/options. I probably won't be moving until after the holidays, but she is already there and most if not all of the pets should be there within 2 weeks (She might have to fight me for the iguana Thanks in advance.

One of the best vets you'll find in the area is John Valsamis. He's located in Mississauga, and is part of an extensive clinical practice that deal with all types of exotics as well as traditional pets. He's located at the Britannia Animal Hospital, Phone: (905) 824-7387. I cannot say enough good things about this man, he is a fantastic vet and has dealt with my big ig so well in the past I can't imagine going anywhere else for my exotics.

Thanks for the info. Things have changed since I made the post, in that the situation in Toronto was not at all as advertised, and she came home. However, we may still end up there in the future and will definately keep it in mind.
