bearded weight question

deuce02 Dec 11, 2004 10:55 AM

last feb. i adopted a lil dragon named sissy from the mid michigan reptile rescue. Well i always keep an eye on her eating habits, weight, all of that. I measured her weight on oct 25 at 213 grams. Shes always been a small dragon and shes came a long way since i got her at 150 grams. Well i just weighed her today at 270! Her temps, poop, and most everything has stayed the same. The only difference is i started using the pellets on top of her salad insted of using crickets as much. She seems to LOVE the pellets. Since then her eating has gotten out of this world. Shes never been a "big" eater but now she eats all the salad i put in there. any ideas why she would get so big so fast? Would the pellets make her gain so much? should i cut back on them? she seems to LOVE them. Heres a really bad pic of her.

She looks great! By no means cut back on the pellets. Most likely, as the pellets are a more complete meal, she began gaining more weight. The crickets have the exoskeleton in which just gets defecated out, but the pellets can ALL be digested and used. Keep up the good work, the tremendous weight gain for a previously deprived dragon is great, and keep up the great work!
