My Antaresia Maculosa (Spotted python) shedded her skin yesterday. Everything looked fine and she's been very healthy as usual lately. But today when I examined her I found lots of red spots on her belly. They are small and blood-coloured, in the middle of her scales.
I've looked in all my books and also on the web, but I can't find anything like it. The spots are not between the scales as in a bacterial infection, they're on top of them. Her environment is perfect, with 40-50% humidity, her skin was perfectly shedded. What can it be?
Thankful for any input. I will take her to a vet on monday, but I'm worried and it feels bad to have to wait for the vet to open on monday and not know what it is.
