RC,
Always double check the edges of the room...that's where I've always found mine when they get out. When Sparks got out a second time (1st he was in a pile of laundry and we hadn't known he got out until I went to do laundry) he wasn't behind the couch one minute and ten minutes later he was there. Any small space where they can curl up and it's dark. If you have other pets or something (like cats) I'd make sure they can't get in the room if possible. Other than that I'm not that much help. I think I've heard of people putting something on the floor (flour maybe?) so they can follow a trail if the snake comes out at night but I'm not sure. Good luck and keep us updated.

I had three escape at the same time and all three were around 10 months old, so they weren't too big. I recovered all three and two were in my closet in my shoes. I just looked in a shoe by chance and was surprised at what was looking back at me and about 4 shoes later I found the second one. The third one I found a poop and he was in that area. Good luck!
Be patient, I had two of my snakes get loose at the school where I teach and they were both gone about three weeks. One of them ate a mouse that I left out on our normal feeding day but did not turn up that day.
We ended up finding one in the room next to mine in my teaching partner's closet next to her lunch. The other was found at the opposite end of my building by the custodian. The snake was in the space between two cement block about 6 feet off of the floor.
The really strange thing is that they were both found within 24 hours of each other on one of our feeding days.
It is really amazing how well they can hide and where they will turn up.
Check out what my kids do with the snakes at our website. I have been trying to update it with new pictures and data but have run into some technical problems lately. The site still works but will be better soon.
