Some people choose to soak their uros, some don't. I only do if I feel there's a reason - dehydration, blockage, or difficult shed.

If you have a new guy, you might want to try it once. Sometimes a new one will drink. Use very warm water (about 100* - not HOT) only about a 1/2 inch deep. Let them soak for about 10-15 minutes. It's best to do it earlier in the day to give them a chance to dry thoroughly in the heat. You can also dry the tail with a blow dryer - prevents tail rot.

Don't let the water be deeper than 1/2". A friend of mine lost her little one to pneumonia from water in the lungs.

Hope that helps!

Wait till they crawl through fresh poo then you'll know why.

Got a better one. Took stool samples to the vet after my first week. I was initially a little concerned I might get two samples from one animal one day or not be able to tell the difference, but nature solved that. Conveniently, there was a fresh turd on the middle of one Uro's back. Unmistakable.
