New Black Blood male received yesterday. His name is "Jet"

googo151 Dec 11, 2004 02:28 PM

Hey,
I just got this 5ft, adult Black Blood male yesterday. He's a pretty amazing looking male. Keeping him warm as he went through a tough time getting here. Hopefully, lots of TLC will get him back on track.

Hey Kara,
Somewhat, but the female never arrived and I don't really know what to think or make of that. At any rate, I got the male, and he also sent me a male Red Blood, that is also out-standing. He is a 6 foot semi striped, that is really a gorgeous hunk of a male red. I'll post pictures later of him. The black blood male, has some gurgling, from I believe the trip and the stress there of, so I'll be keeping an eye out for any signs of something more sinister and keeping him plenty warm.

Hey J,
Thanks my Bro! I have to work with this guy a little bit as he had a little bit of a tough time getting here, (he's a real sweetie too) unfortunately. I'll keep you posted on him. He's a beauty though I think you agree. The name fits though huh!!

Hey J,
Just to keep you up to date on this male, I just soaked him after finding that the red blood male, also received yesterday, had mites. Quite the scare if you ask me. I soaked them both, or more like sprayed them both like a dirty car in the back of the house. LOL! At any rate, I think that I'll be able to get a handle on this problem forwith, before it gets to the rest of the collection.

On the other hand, the black blood male, just took food for me right from the forceps with no problem after some inspection of the food and tongue flicking. How great is that. Also, the gurgling in the throat that I detected yesterday, seems to have dissapeared with the increased heat. I think that he's going to be fine after all. Phew! Always some drama. This male looks like he had some pretty small, but noticeable bite marks around the nape area from live feedings. Some people just shouldn't be allowed to own these things. (What can I say!)

Vicky also took food for me tonight, she's the female that just laid eggs the other day.

Alright that's the latest.

is De Flea Repti Relief. The only problem is you have to kind of shampoo it on and get it in behind the scales. So if there not very tame it can be quite an interesting task. Just rub it in and wash it off (make sure you get it off good) and there gone. Pretty much all pet stores with a reptile section seem to carry it as well. For all I know you already have some, but I figured I'd let ya know just in case.

Hey Jody,
Thank you for the kudos, and well wishes. He is lovely, but had a bit of a scare with him and some night mare receiving him too. He seems to be alright tonight though, after a good looking over and a good hose down in the shower, he ate for me straight away tonight when presented with food (jumbo rat). What a lovely sight and feeling. This guy gave me quite the scare when first received as he had a bit of a gurgle in the throat, like the beginnings of a RI. He sounds clear tonight and looking better, and like I said feeding. Thanks and take care

Hey Bob,
I think he's going to be fine. He ate for me last night, and seems to be doing alright. I don't hear any of the weezing or gurgling that I heard the first night after arriving. The other blood though, did arrive looking and sounding good, however, after running my hand over his back, I noticed that there was this funny granular feeling on my hand. The result? MITES!!!!!! Shoooot!! Anyhow, I since had them both in the shower and gave them quite the hose down, and have not seen any more mites since my last check, however, that doesn't mean that there aren't any. I'll keep inspecting and treat for them regardless. Alright Bob, thanks for asking and the kudos, off to dinner. Cheers!
