Do corns hiss!?

lizardfan Jul 02, 2003 01:26 PM

I moved my corn up to a small rat today. She's 3/4 of the way through it and when I open the lid to her feeding tank, she makes a hissing sound. It kind of sounds like a small motor or something. It's really strange... does anyone else's corn do this?

It could be a hiss but more likely with corns it was a tail rattle. Especially if you have a newspaper substrate it sounds impressive when they rattle at you. Couple of mine are likely to do that when they are eating.

I have a blizzard that coils 2/3's of his body, puffs out, and hisses something fierce. I swear he can lunge or throw his entire body almost across the entire length of his enclosure. He does the tail rattle too...but its very distinct when he hisses...usually only around feeding time.
