I just recently purchaced 4 hatchling peruvian rainbow boas and they are huge!! twice the size that the brazilians are when hatchlings!! And they are not nippy, well, except for one. Is this normal? I have heard that they tent to be larger then brb when adults but is the size diffence that large?

..When I got my first three Peruvian Rainbows they were a couple months old and were about the same size as well fed BRBs the same age. When I got more PRBs later they were younger and were only a little larger than brand newborn BRBs. The fact that yours are not nippy may be because they were calm and tame when born or that in the time they have been alive they have been handled enough to tame them. It does not take much handling to tame even the most angry young Rainbow Boa. My adult Peruvian Rainbows are a couple inches longer and are more heavy bodied than most of my adult BRBs. It sort of looks like they are bigger boned than BRBs.
