shedding skin

as before in my post about what newts i have i found out that i have warty newts. thank you for the info from who i got it from. well i keep both of them in one tank and one of them is shedding his skin because he's growing. is it normal for the other one to try to eat the skin of the shedding one before he has fully shed all of his skin? as for now i have separated then from eachother they are both in seperate tanks

Yes, this can be normal. Usually the animal will eat its own skin, pulling it off & eating it as it goes, but I've also seen others "help" w/ this & eat it themselves. Yucky, but OK.

Agreed, The skin eating is completly normal, and I guess the other one is just helping, ha ha. It is okay, as long as the other one doesn't get oo aggresive, if you know what I mean.
