Anyone not feed their cham live bugs?

I won't feed live bugs but if there is any healthy alternative I would love to have one!

Do you already own a chameleon? If you are getting one and have a problem with the live bug feeding you may want to rethink your choice.

In nature, they will respond to something moving and the same in captivity. There is "can o' crickets" but anyone who has commented on it has had no luck. The other reason for a variety of insects is so they get a balance of vitamins and minerals - at least the best we can do for them out of their natural habitat. There are also liquid foods but these are only for emergency use and again, would not sustain the life of any reptile - besides the fact that you would have to force feed your cham which would add a tremendous amount of undue stress.

There are many interesting articles on chams in general at these sites that you may want to read before consider purchasing.

Is it an aversion to handling live insects or another reason?
