i don't want to seem rude or snobby or whatever but i am really concerned about the health of the uro that is going to be living in that cage. ornates are expensive, so why would you want to pay all that money and not even give it a proper home?
are you getting it as a baby and this will just be a temporary home for a couple months?
it is hard to maintain a proper gradient in such a small cage.
maybe you should concider a less expensive uro and use the other money to buy a larger tank?

I had thought the same thing. Why bother asking advice about something if you've already gone out and done it? Also, why buy an animal that you cannot afford to give the proper husbandry? If you can't afford the enclosure, the potential vet bills due to sub-standard care, and looking for shortcuts in husbandry to save money, why buy the animal in the first place?

I didn't get a female for Ra right away because I couldn't afford a big enough tank or the cost of another uro. It took me almost a year to get to the point where I could afford her. I'm glad I did because she needed an operation to save her life and the cost of surgery would have been too much for me a year ago. I'm happy to say she is doing splendidly and thriving in her (and Ra's) 125-gallon home.
