i ive had my iguana for almost 2 years now..since ive got him i cant get him to eat anything that is not green...should i be worried about mbd. i do give calcium supplements when feeding.

When you saw you can't get him to get anything that is not green, what do you mean be that? Is he just eating his greens, green beans, etc? I have heard of certain animals that have a color preference. My friend water dragon wouldn't eat anything, unless it was blue. So my friend just put blue food dye on all of his food, and the problem was solved. I am not really sure how he came to the conclusion that he only ate blue food, but hey, I didn't want to ask. If he is only eating green food, that is not really that bad. If he was eating everything except green food, then you would want to be worried. Since greens are suppose to make up the majority of his diet, it should not be a big problem. You should try different green foods to add some variety. Okra, alfalfa, prickley pear cactus leaves, escarole, collard greens, dandelion greens, endive, mustard greens, turnip greens, watercress, green beans, green peas, honeydew melon, and kiwi are all great green foods. Mine prefer orange food, like squash. I shred it over his green, he eat only the orange but take a little green with it. He eat only a little at a time and preferably when i HOLD his plate for him !!!! He's driving me nuts !
