Once again, my whacky girl is being - well, whacky! She has been on a hunger strike again and I thought maybe a new clutch is developing so have been weighing her. She has gained only 4-6g (up to 100) and I was just going to watch and wait (for those of you who were around may recall that it was this time last year that she began her 5 month long "i'm gravid, now I'm not" - that kept me wondering until May! LOL!
Anyway...I put some green chard in a cup today with a little water (to keep it fresh) and I found her IN THE CUP going thru digging motions! I do not believe she is anywhere near to laying (no colors, no bulge, no weight gain (she was 128g before her last clutch). Has anyone experience this??? Any ideas? The only other thing I have noticed is that she has been drinking a LOT. That could be explained by the drier air in the house this time of year but she gets regular "steams, too.
