I just posted a similar request for information on the forum dealing with venomous Crotalidae below so you can obtain the gist of my request if you read my post on that forum.
There are two species of garter snakes that were recently listed in a 'protected' status in Arizona, the Mexican Garter Snake and Narrow-headed Garter Snake.
Is there anyone on this forum that might have an idea of what level of demand there might be for either of the above species in the wild?
That is, before either species was listed, about how many individuals might there be that would annually seek those species for their personal collection?
It would be my guess that the number would not be very high but since I do not live in Arizona nor am I familiar with the interests in garter snakes, I could be all wet.
Any input will be appreciated.
