Beardie not putting on weight!!

gavinclews Dec 12, 2004 02:38 PM

Hi. I have a female beardie that isnt putting on any weight at all. She is a little on the skinny side and i would like to bulk her up a bit but what im feeding her now doesnt seem to be helping much. She is on crickets and greens. Is there anything you can recomend that will fatten her up a bit as i like to see beardies in the best of health and not skinny. She has been wormed and had a fecial so its not that. HELP!!!

hi
waxmoths r nice to fatten up.
only you say he already dewormed.
i would sugest www.parazap.com
many times worms come back and with the parazap i already be 3 years parasite free.
i also sugest buy some probiotics in a human healthshop and put the powder from capsule in water and give that to youre beardie.
those r good bacterias.
whats youre set up?

Feed her as much crickets that she'll eat during a meal. So if you're only feeding 15 at a time, just dump in 20. If she's still hungery, dump a couple more. A variety of greens and veggies should always be left in the cage.

Also, a treat of one or two wax worms per week will help bring the weight up. Don't give it frequently as this can cause addiction and she'll end up avoiding other foods.

Good luck!
