matthewpope Dec 12, 2004 07:33 PM

OK, I went into my Peruvian BCCs cage and saw this hanging from his tail and some in the water bowl.

I haev examined his tail and cloaca for swolleness, infection, etc, but have found nothing.

Does anyone know what this is?

My males will drop sperm plus every once in anyways.

That reminds me of Dan Mulleary's male peruvian that would drop sperm plugs on a garden hose if you put it in there LOL.

.....I examined it with a microscope! I thought it was a tapeworm. I hope you have a female ready for him!

Of course it's my opinion, I said it, didn't I?
Are they using the beef to control your mind? That stuff in your cigarettes, your beer and the wine Is working its way, infiltrating your spine, Today is the day you should wake up and find That they’re using the beef to control your mind. --(excerpt from a musical I wrote...)

I watch my animals VERY closely as I don't have many and I've never seen this before. This was from a Peruvian BCC male, kept by himself.

As such, if this is a maturity indicator, it lends credence to the school of thought that says BCC take much longer to mature. This animal was born in 99 and has only just done this now.

I have seen similar dried up snail-trail looking stuff in with breeding males before, but not with a lone male. Maybe he has arms that I don’t see…hehe.

Cool.
