I may be getting some albino nelson's that are in the 250-300g range, and I was wondering if I should cool them this year, or if the females need a little more size. they are a healthy porportion, not fat and overfed.
What is a good weight for female Nelson's first breeding? I know they are not the biggeest milks like hondurans or andeans, but have never bred them, and the only book I have (the old Mara Color Guide) is not that great. I will probably buy the Bartlett book, but I would like to know wether I should jump on a deal I found or save my money for another project.
I have bred lots of colubrids, including pueblan milks, I just wondered if 300-350 grams was a safe concepation weight for thiws subspecies. Thank you in advance for your replies.
Here's a pic of a sinaloan I raised, and never should have sold.

Of course it's my opinion, I said it, didn't I?
