red tail thinks it a tree snake aparently lol

Anybody else with a young red-tail notice this behavior? mine is always lounging on her branch...except when she goes to deficate in her water bowl.

I have a young salmon who did the same thing for a while too. He now coils on the ground level though. Maybe its common with younger boas, possibly to keep out of most predators reach?
