I would be concerned about holding my burm while there is 'food' (prey) so close by. My burm's feeding response is way too high - he would be dangerous to hold with the scent of food in the room.

Is your burm really that calm?

Well its not actually food...could be though...its my kids guinea pigs.....She is in the garage with them and my rats at the moment..i am in the process of building a new snake room in the garage and we had to move her. I had 3 other people there with me incase she decided not to cooperate, but she was good about it. It wasnt my fist choice but i had to move her. You can see part of the wall going up in the background...She was being good so had my wife take a couple pics since i havnt had any of her yet.....I understand what your saying though....and it was definetly a concern

The snakes knows the difference between food guinea pigs and pet ones! (take sarcasm lightly please) The snake looks great though and good luck with the snake room. Great idea for a large constrictor when you have children in the house.

If i had my way they would be food...but the kids like them so i cant....i sure can feed the babies off though.
