I have been dealing with the issue of Petsmart giving out incorrcet caresheets for AFTs (see below posts). In order to get Petsmart to change them, I need statements from gecko experts that the care info is wrong (I already have one from my vet), or copies of your caresheets that provide better information. Petsmart doesn't want to give out inaccurate information, of course, but they can't change the care sheet just because one vet said the info is wrong. The Petsmart care sheet contained inaccuracies regarding the following, according to my vet - wrong night time temps (too low), no mention of a tupperware/plastic humid hide, wrong day time temps (too hot in basking spot), and the caresheet recommended use of calci sand. I have included a link to the caresheet posted on the Petsmart website. The sheet they give out in their stores is slightly different, it says "calci sand is the ideal substrate for fat tailed geckos."
