Chicks as Feeders...

PristinePythons Dec 13, 2004 01:25 PM

Rodent Pro is haveing a nice big sale on chicks. My question is how are they as feeders? How many would equal one mouse? Could I mix them in with mice, say one mouse and 2 chicks a feeding or something like that? Let me know what ya think. This is for a blue tegu if it makes any difference.

Take a look at the information on Melissa Kaplan's website anapsid.org (link below) for the nutritional value of different feeders. Chicks are not quite as nutritious as rats but close. In my opinon feeding chicks is a great way to vary the diet.
