Yes, two adult Nigers will go in a 75 gallon - barely. You could do two of the other smaller species like ornates or Sudanese. You probably shouldn't do two of the medium sized ones like Malis or Bentis (though one would be fine). You can't do an Egyptian.

Some people mix species, but I do not. Personal preference since I don't know how well the species read each other's body languages. Probably the more closely related species would do better together if you wish to mix.

Make sure you have at least one basking, hiding, and feeding area for each lizard you have.

If you do go for Nigers, make SURE you get captive bred animals. Wild caught is less expensive for the purchase price, but I guarantee it's more expensive in the long run for vet bills (parasites), even if you're lucky enough to get ones who make it. They are very difficult to acclimate to captivity, so CB is for sure the way to go!

A 75 gallon tank isn't really that big. I house my 2 malis in a 125 gallon tank and they also have an underground den and pipes that serve as tunnels to give them even more space they can utilize.
It sounds like you're not really sure what you want, maybe you should wait awhile, really research (ie. size of the animal, any special care it may need and decide on an animal that will suit you and one that is good quality (that does take time). Decided on a pet shouldn't be something you decide on the spot and then suddenly change your mind. Take your time with it, what's the hurry?
Btw, I thought you couldn't afford a bigger tank?

Well, All I have is a 20 gallon tank, I cannot afford to buy another, so I need a lizard that will work."
