What to use for lubrication to probe

billcherep Dec 13, 2004 04:55 PM

I have some probes and was wondering what people use for lube to probe? I went out and bought some KY Jelly because someone told me it was ok to use. Is this OK to use? Thanks

Thats what I use~ but on one of the videos I have (I think it was Sexing snakes by Seward) he mentions that KY is spermicidal to snakes~ so don't use it on snakes you plan to breed very soon.

that the KY is spermicide to just snakes or that KY w/spermicide is what is obviously not good for breeding BP?
I'm starting to confuse myself! Basically I have KY that says it doesn't have spermicide in it for humans. I asume this is OK.

Thanks for the response

He probably said it is not spermicidal.
