Yup, it happens to me all the time too, Pierson. I throw my hand up and someone else gets to the taxi first! They must expectus.
Michael
Have I posted this before? For some reason I seem to recall that joke...
I must be getting old.

Thats pretty amazing, how did you manage it? Loved the "taxi" comment too. Ha!
The snake was basking on the base of a cypress tree that was extruding from the middle of the river. I spotted the snake while canoeing and stealthily paddled up to it to get a closer view. I didn't even notice the skink until I was right up on them. I'm glad I had my camera ready as oppsed to simply grabbing the snake or I would have blown the opportunity.

OK, but did you still grab the snake??
And by the way, your not old when you remember a joke, your old when you forget that you already told it!
Now where did I put my teeth?
OK, but did you still grab the snake??
No. I left that one alone. I didn't want to disturb the skink.

Yeah, that might not have been fare.
When did you take the pic? Lately? I sure wish it was warm here! It is supposed to snow Sunday. I hate the cold weather.

Justin
I took this picture in May of 2003. Definitely not warm here in NC either.
