Demand for Garters

z10silver Dec 13, 2004 11:11 PM

I am new to Garters and was just wondering if there is a lot of demand for them? There seems to be so many morphs and color variations available that there would be more demand for them. It seems like they should be contending with kingsnakes/milksnakes/ and corns in the hobby. Why are their prices so cheap?

Supply and demand is why anything "cheap" is cheap...well, almost anything. Garters are still not as popular as many of the other snakes, and yet they are extraordinarily easy to breed. Even the albinos are coming WAY down in price. Duffy

My question is why are they not as popular?
