.
I think he is referring to the retics ben siegal has for sale. He says there hasn't been any found over 7ft well thats what his importer says. I know the ones he has have orange eyes and if ben says they came from where they said they probably did. But if they are true dwarfs I am not sure. They do have a slightly broken up neck pattern like the jamps and they seem to have a little bit different head shape like the other dwarfs. I would say the only way to be sure is buy one and see how big it gets and remember that even the jampeas get pretty big I believe nerd has one at 15ft and still growing.
If these are the true Kalaotoa locale retics then they are true super dwarfs that stay really small-much smaller than jamps. Mike Wilbanks of Constrictors Unlimited works with these a lot. They are said to stay in the 6-7 foot range. Bill
I thought we didnt know the locale of the super dwarf thats wha mike told me at tinley
With the thousands of small islands there several of them support populations of genetically tiney retics. Some of these islands are not even named. Kalaotoa is one island where the truly small retics have been gathered with consistency and the island name has been assigned to these retics to designate the true super dwarfs from the larger dwarfs. Bill.
ok cool thanks for the info sarge I will look into getting a pair then
Hello. I just got a pair of superdwarf retics from Bob Clark a week ago. Its difficult to tell from the pictures, but the ones from kalaotoa that Ben Siegel is advertising appear to be heavier bodied. Again, its hard to judge the scale, but mine are about 5ft long and rather wiry. I'm not convinced that they are quite the same. Bob said that he didn't know exactly where his were from when I talked to him.

including the one's I have, all show the dark orange or red eye color. Jamp's and Kayuadi's, being very similar to each other, have lighter, silver or copper colored eyes and reach considerably larger adult sizes. Tanahjampea and Kayuadi Islands are relatively close together with Kalaotoa Island being farther out at the extreme east end of the island chain. I have some captive born Kalaotoa specimens that are approaching a year old, and have been heavily fed from a few weeks of age. They are just now slightly over 4 feet.
