I recently purchased a bearded dragon. Actually, I got him the first week in October and he was a month old. He is now a little over 3 months and is already over 13 inches long. We purchase 50-60 full sized crickets every two days and 100 meal worms every three days. Is this normal? He seems very healthy. I figure not eating is worse than eating a lot. However, his already big size for such a young age worries me. I read they are only supposed to get to 18-20 inches but he’s pushing 14 inches and is still very young. Any advice, suggestions, comments? Basically, any information or help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time and attention.

I don't think that you should be worried about him eating a lot. He's a growin' boy, let him eat what he wants.

I don't think that there is anything to be concerned about. Just make sure that he eats a little bit of his greens, but don't "starve" him to make him eat the greens.

Hope that helps

I've actually heard that growing too fast can be a problem and can result in fatty liver. there's no way that a dragon would have access to all that food at once in the wild

Mealworms should only be a treat, they have chitin and not much nutritional value. 14 in isn't that unusual, ecspecily with some lines, I've heard of 17in dragons at 4 months. He might not grow much after hitting maybe 19-23in. He can be fed as many crickets as he wants in 15-20min.
