Spine Deterioration?

tassadar898 Dec 14, 2004 02:31 PM

My veiled back along its spine where there a little spikes seems to be missing a few close to its head. That was never the case before. I free roam my crickets, but I never see them anywhere else besides the sides or bottom of the cage and thats before my cham scurries to hunt them down. Any thoughts?

Also I got a fly culture from reptiledepot about 5 days ago, and I'm starting to see flies but they are so small, like the size of ants? Will they get bigger?

If the culture is for fruit flies that size is about right. What were you trying to get? Houseflies? Get housefly cultures from Grubco.

I don't think I understand your question. Why do you think spines are missing? Is there any skin discoloration or injuries you can see? Do you have pics you can compare to see if there were ever spines in this spot? What was the question about crix about? Crix have been known to chew on chams at night when they are loose in the cage, but you should see some signs of bites or injuries in that case.
