Tiger sally, coconut bedding, possible problem

mk3000 Dec 14, 2004 02:47 PM

Hi, My cousin recently got a tiger sally and i know nothing about them(snake guy. anyway, its currently housed in a large tubberware thing,a little over 10 gallons i guess, about 4 inches of coconut bedding spread evenly, and of course a large, shallow water bowl. The coconut bedding seems to collect on his skin, and im wondering if i should replace it with something else.

The coconut bedding is the expanding brick, I had a pair of burrowing pythons die because of it and I dont want the same thing to happen to my little cousin, any help is greatly appreciated.

thanx,
Jarred

Definatly not, this is more than okay. I have had my 2 tigers for 2 years now, and they are just fine, They even burrow in it, and thats normal too, might I suggest you get the sal something to hide under, they love to burrow. Mine burrow under my moss. Maybe some plants, good luck.
