My Psammophis will eat pinky rats. I was doing research and found that they liked lizards. If you haven't already tried that, it might be an option. However, they're probably too stressed out from captivity. You should probably let them go where you got them and don't catch anymore, rather than taking the risk of killing them because they wont feed.

i tried alot of lizards still no success,,, and im not the one who catches them,,,,there is this reptile exbition ,,,i know the people who work there ,,they catch/import some snakes and sell them,,,so in both cases theyre gonna die,,,the people at that exbition are ignorant and stupid.
they dont really care what happens,,,its all about the money

oh well thx anyways

That is so sad!! I've been reading lately about Florida Kings, how they're becomming non-existant in the wild because of people. Now, I'm worried about other snakes.

Is there any way you can catch some of their native food to get them started? You may be able to scent pinky rats with it once you get them to eat one or two.

My friend has a P.leithi that he feeds lizards to. Also, I've heard that they really go for skinks.

Not sure if it's the same snake, are these what you call Waddi Racers? If so I've seen them hunting frogs - don't know what type, look like Ranids, found (funnily enough) in Waddis. You've probably already tried this but jsut a thought. Cheers, Lee.

the exibition that comes here is from africa,,,they come with alot of snakes

and they sell them for cheap,,,they tell people they eat boiled eggs so people would buy them,,,,i mean if they say theyd eat mice,,not everyone would buy ,,right? but even though,,none of the snakes there eat too,,,,stressed probably

alot of people buy from them,,,its kinda pathetic. so sad

thats why i was thinking of getting one psammophis schokari and trying to save it.because the people there dont even try

i figured they might be just like ball pythons, theyre known not to eat in captivity for a while,,,till they get used to it.

i got some sandfish (skinks) ,,i tried , still no luck

and for Laf,,,no these arent wadi racers,,, their common name is Sand snake .

im still not sure whether i should take one,,,i mean atleast ill try to save one or something

Yes, it's a hard choice to make. If you buy one, you encourage them to keep doing this...but then again, you may save the animal. I don't know what I'd do either. I wish you could send me a couple. I'd give it an earnest try too.
